'No one told her to go there': Now FEMALE pundit lays into Egypt sex attack victim Lara Logan
Daily Mail UK ^ | February 16, 2011

A female political pundit has been heavily criticised for suggesting Lara Logan should have seen her sex attack coming - and for calling the Egyptians who were protesting for democracy 'animals'.

Debbie Schlussel posted a picture of Miss Logan on her blog, under the headline: 'Islam Fan Lara Logan Gets a Taste of Islam', before adding 'How fitting that Lara Logan was “liberated” by Muslims in Liberation Square while she was gushing over the other part of the “liberation".'

It comes as an American academic, Nir Rosen, yesterday resigned from his post at New York University after calling Miss Logan a 'warmonger' who was 'trying to outdo' rival news correspondent Anderson Cooper.

CBS correspondent Miss Logan endured a 'brutal and sustained' sexual assault and beating while covering the resignation of President Mubarak in Egypt.

The mother-of-one had been surrounded by an angry mob of 200 people before the assault which is thought to have lasted up to half an hour. She had to be saved by a group of women and 20 Egyptian soldiers and was later taken to hospital.

Yesterday Schlussel, who is Jewish, wrote: 'Lara Logan was among the chief cheerleaders of this 'revolution' by animals.

'Now she knows what Islamic revolution is really all about.

'So sad, too bad, Lara.

#8-

Our female soldiers and pilots like during the first Gulf War were brutally beaten and raped while in confinement and the MSM hardly ever mentioned it.

I never blame the rape victim, it’s the criminal who did the assault who is in the wrong.

That said, I think the US networks were wrong to use their hate of American values and the liberal agenda to picture the anti-Mubarak protesters as “freedom fighters.” Most of the protests were economic over lack of jobs and food prices. The protesters displayed a lot of anti-Americanism and were clearly pro-radical Islamists.

CBS and the other networks even downplayed the assault on Lara Logan as it didn’t fit the party line of freedom fighters.

Sure, the Mubarak government was a military dictatorship and ruled harshly, but it did keep Egypt more prosperous than the others in the mid-east, despite lack of oil wealth. It also allowed non Islamic Egyptians some protection from attacks on them by the radical Islamists. He also kept the peace treaty with Israel.

Expect the new government to be less friendly to America and dominated by the radical Islamists. The Copts and other minority religions in Egypt will be toast. And, the Egyptian economy will go to heck as these Islamists are just like socialists and can’t run a candy stand when it comes to business.

Do they expect them to all submit to sharia in islamic turd world countries by wearing hijab, abaya or burkas and blame them if the get molested or raped by a savage pack of koranimals? The world is not a safe place... and some us have to be in unpleasant places, and deal with unpleasant people so we can do our jobs - for the safety and benefit of others.

Exactly!

“It’s universally accepted that she deserved to get smashed by a Caterpillar.”

I never knew it was ‘universally accepted.’

Yes, neither Corey nor Logan should have been where she was, but I wouldn’t necessarily say either ‘deserved’ her death or assault. So I guess you can take me out of that universe.

“Are you sure she was rapped ?”

“That is my question too. (raped)”

Mine as well. I don’t think she was, if she was why don’t they simply, clearly report “she was raped”? Instead they say she was sexually assaulted over a long period of time.

Until I hear the word rape from her I’m not buying into it.

I am also sick of people blaming Logan. She was covering a story in a country alleged to be friendly to us. We should be supporting Logan.

You're right!

“Blaming the victim is exactly what the Islamic barbarians do, we should not do it.”

So now I’m the same as a muslim, well aren’t you special.

Its moronic to think you can go anywhere you want and be safe, whether you are a man or a woman.

It’s decidedly more moronic to go into the middle of a riot full of radical muslims if you are obviously American.

I don’t think she was raped either. She may have been fondled ... maybe her shirt was ripped off.

But I don’t think she was raped.

Yes- I know how she covered muslims and islam- she biased. So? Is this a shock? No doubt CBS took a llllong time to report this. Which is ALL beside the point- those are separate issues.

My problem is that somehow because we know how brutal islam is that she’s getting what she deserves for being there.

“...... She may have been fondled ... maybe her shirt was ripped off.”

Exactly, a lot of people are jumping to conclusions imo. There’s assault, there’s sexual assault, then there’s rape.

What was it? Hard to say without all the details.

Debbie Schussel’s blog got 789 comments so she sure got a response. I never wish rape upon reporters like Lara Logan but what do they expect from these animals. Lara and her ilk travel in a liberal bubble...The Islamic mob broke through that bubble

So Lara and her superiors bear at least some responsibility

only those who go into the ocean get attacked by sharks.

BINGO!

She had seen the FNC reporters beaten. The state dept. warned everyone to leave more than once. Yet she stayed. I'm not excusing those animals but if she wasn't there it wouldn't have happened.

I never knew that a reporter doing her job was "asking for it."

I think the big problem with Schlussel and SOME freepers is that they want to dance, gloat, and cheer "I told you so" DailyKos style so they can crow and bray about Muslims.

I'm sick of people blaming Lara Logan for being raped.

She wasn't raped. They hit her and grabbed her T&A. Not pleasant, to be sure. But not rape.

Spent some interesting times in Turkey years ago and I couldn’t agree with you more. Also, isn’t it interesting that when Anderson Cooper and the other correspondents were attacked everyone automatically blamed pro-government thugs? Now we see the real truth—the religion of thugs and rapists.
