The ships will likely be trying to stay as close as possible to the 20km line, with Israel watching them the whole time. Someone else brought up the topic of ELINT as being part of the mission (would the Iranians be smart enough to even consider it?), so Israel needs to fight the temptation to “paint” the ships with targeting radars. Just make it clear they are being tracked by visual/IR/Low light.
