TUESDAY MIDDAY--- BREAKING NEWS ON OBAMACARE REPEAL:

TUESDAY MIDDAY--- BREAKING NEWS ON OBAMACARE REPEAL:

The House Rules Committee has rejected Rep. Steve King's proposal to FULLY DEFUND ObamaCare, failing to agree to "protect" King's amendment when it comes to the House floor.

Bottom line -- Republicans on the Rules Committee refused to play hardball to fully defund ObamaCare. By doing so, they are allowing Pelosi's "mandatory" self-funding provisions -- which many say are unconscionable if not unconstitutional -- to stand! This will force this Congress to approve most of the funding for ObamaCare.

FoxNews says King's provision would "cripple all government operations devoted to executing the health law."

DEBATE BEGINS THIS AFTERNOON.

Our choices are, 1.) Go “egyptian” on them, or 2.) suck it up and join the new world order.

On behalf of the Free Republic Class of '98, it's time to lock and load......

The Health Care Law has been ruled by the court to be UNCONSTITUTIONAL. Therefore it “has no standing” in any government budget bill!

Exactly correct, which is why I ask myself "what's the deal with all this talk of de-funding or repealing? What are these dirty, filthy, rotten SOB's in Congress doing behind the scenes while they're distracting us with this ruse?"

Hey Sherlock, there is such an organization and yes, the report is true. Also your link goes to Redstate, which has the report. Did you think that because you haven’t heard of this organization, it didn’t exist? (I guess you think the earth is flat too huh?)

Rush also spoke of this today on his show right when this was posted.

What was your point again?

OK, it's out there now and the story has been corroborated by several sources.

My apologies.

David Dreier, Chairman...as I recall he served on the impeachment panel.

Thank you for your service, Chairman, but it's obvious you are not up to today's challenges.

We need a wartime consigliere, and he does not measure up.

We need a Bachmann, an Issa. What say you, all you defenders of the current chairmen of the House?

You know who I mean...when we expressed concern that we would get business as usual, there were so many apologists here vouching for the conservative credentials of these chairmen.

What say you now?

I think the answer is STICK IT IN BOTH appropriations bills and regular legislation ~ every single stinking little piece of it!

You are so right!

The legislative sweetener that'll get even Obama to go along with it is to send him an appropriations bill that cuts deeper than any Democrat could imagine ~ I'm thinking a $1.2 trillion cut ~ maybe more ~ and it eliminates EVERYTHING they've argued we need for the last 60 years.

Exactly right. Let the American people see what the cost of all the goodies are. The govt takes in 2.4 Trillion and spends 3.7 Trillion.

Try this:

, its becoming post-epic-landslide-victory-solid-voter-majority-behind-them-and-still-the-cowardly-stupid-and-corrupt-bastards-wont-do-the-right-thing clear.

But then, perhaps I'm just a tad more cynical then you are ....

I’m not sure that just a ‘march’ is going to do the trick.

For those who might want to practice locally...

The only time Conservatives will take to the streets is on the way to the camps with armed guards on each side and front and rear.

Revolutions happen when govt elites think like that. Then they push the issue and discover the military will not kill their fellow citizens. Maybe some police, maybe some military, but the majority will put a stop to that real quick.

It's far more likely that the country will divide.

See #206.

And observe that I managed to post my questions -- all of which were soundly based -- and issue an apology -- unasked -- without getting all snarky about anything.

The link I posted, by the way, is to Grassfire.com -- not RedState -- because I copied your link!

And, I'm right, aren't I? There is no report of this matter to be found in today's issue of GrassfireNation Nation.

You may keep your insults to yourself. I won't be returning them.

Many of us thought they were simply cowardly. Now its clearer that they’ve been hiding behind the libs all the time, secretly wanting what they wanted. If thats your point I agree entirely.

With all due respect, class of 98 has its share of: trolls, rinos, limp wrists etc.

So, when you talk about lock & load, I guess that means anyone belonging to any other year on FR should stand down?

Actually I was going to say thank you for being big enough to admit you were wrong as in post 206. And the link you provided went to redstate so I’m assuming that Grassfire reported off of Redstate.

I made my mind up about Dreir years ago. He helped to get passage for the ‘Normalization of trade’ with China back in the 90’s. Prior to that, the U.S. limited it’s ‘trade’ with that country (a.k.a. the enemy).

The situation we find ourselves in is the result of many, many years of Republicans ‘selling out’, making deals, compromising etc.

Dreier is just another slick, country club, elitist with nice hair. (imo)
