I think she’s right. If we can elect a conservative who’s committed to cut the spending, she(or he) needs to be willing to be a one-term president.

It wouldn’t necessarily turn out that way, but that’s the mindset that’s needed.

If you seriously try to cut the welfare state,you best be prepared to sacrifice more than an office , title or term.
I foresee a lot of attempted assassinations. The entitlement mentality IS that entrenched.

To 32 - Absolutely correct.

Too many individuals and businesses need to be removed from the government's (taxpayers') teet. If implemented we'd have to see whether a majority of voters approve or not. Bachmann understands that we have to start somewhere, and soon. Though I believe Palin too shares this opinion.
Either way, a President attempting this will face resistance from Democrats and Republicans.
