Just another argument to return to a traditional, non-socially-engineered military - strictly honorable men under arms. And those rapists and abusers should be drummed out. Yes, that seems like backwards thinking. Especially when some female troops hit the bar after work and get $ - - - faced drunk. I've witnessed that firsthand, and had to have a fellow female designated driver take the drunk women home.

One got so drunk one night at a topless bar, she jumped up, pulled her top off and showed the not so well endowed dancer what breasts look like. The bouncer told us to get her and ourselves out of there.

It is not supporting it. It is stating a fact. War brings out a very animalistic side in men. That's why we in the military have to work so hard to instill discipline in our Soldiers to insure they follow the laws of war.

Once you have killed a man or had someone try to kill you rape does not seem like such a big deal. For most of human history when one army conquered another army the raping and pillaging started soon after.

I think for men there is a connection between violence and libido. I would have not thought that until my first deployment and experience it myself. I did not rape anyone but after a firefight there was a strong urge to procreate. Talking to other Soldiers this seems to be common.
