GOProud out at annual summit of conservatives

GOProud, the advocacy organization for homosexuals that also portrays itself as "conservative," reportedly will be left out of the annual summit for conservatives in the United States, the CPAC meetings, next year.

Its inclusion last year and this year by David Keene, the outgoing chief of the American Conservative Union, which sponsors the Conservative Political Action Conference, had prompted a long list of major players in the movement, including the Heritage Foundation, the Media Research Center, Family Research Council and Concerned Women for America, to boycott.

That left Al Cardenas, the new chairman, promising just days ago a "comprehensive vetting process on each CPAC participant."

He said he wanted to make certain that longtime supporters of the conservative movement, such as those at the Heritage Foundation, are brought "back into the fold."

Now a source has confirmed that a board vote has been taken that will realign plans for those who participate next year to exclude homosexual advocacy, although details had not been released.

It's about time they kicked out this militant homosexual group. I knew they were a Dem front group the whole time (just like their forerunners Log Cabin). Homos can be Conservative but it's insane for them to form a group based on their bedroom practices. Is there a group called GOPboozers who have "pride" in alcoholism and use that as a basis for conservatism?

Never forget:

They were not kicked out for being sexual perverts
They were not kicked out for advocating homosexual marriage
They were not kicked out for advocating against DODT

The only reason they were kicked out was because it was costing CPAC sponsorship money from groups that were canceling.

If no one stood up, if no one spoke out, CPAC would still have GOProud as a sponsor.

Sarah is right in staying clear of CPAC.

So true. The GOProud guys seem to be major attention whores and their bizarre agenda was overshadowing more important stuff at CPAC.

I work in Hollywood and hands-down with people staring at me..the most intolerant a-holes are gays.

They look at you like you are the enemy and you simply ask them a civilized question, they throw a hissy fit. Close-minded bigots all of them.

Some gay men are really crazy! High strung beyond belief and itching for a fight. I’ll never forget the gay guy who during the original screening of “Mommy Dearest” (I’m NOT making this up) went postal on me when I unwrapped - somewhat noisily, I guess - a caramel. A fair-weather gay friend of mine (a man), died at 52 of a heart attack. Given his constant emotional meltdowns and temper tantrums, I was totally unsurprised.

I wont forget gay week at our liberal parish here in Hollywood. (Wont tell you which specific one for trolls..)

Every gay week, there is always a “mother” who goes to the pulpit and lectures...lectures the parishioners that we should accommodate their lifestyle. Instead of a sermon, it turns out to be a damn shout-down in church. I couldn’t stand these hypocrites.

Chris Barron went militant on the groups and individuals who backed out, calling them names and celebrating what GOProud considered to be their irrelevance and marginalization.

No surprise that their pride came before their fall.

Barron did GOProud no favors and I won’t be surprised if he steps down as chairman so that GOProud can try to recast itself as conservative and weasel their way back in. Same agenda, different packaging.

I’m extremely disappointed with Andrew Breitbart for aligning with and lending his name to this group.
