Also - “dirty bombs” are not the same thing as nuclear bombs. Dirty bombs are a big deal, but they don’t hold a candle to a real nuke.

True. But if they can smuggle in a dirty bomb, they can do the same with a real nuke. Are dirty bombs perhaps a dry run for the real McCoy?
AGREED, BUT THE PSYCHOLOGICAL IMPACT OF A DIRTY BOMB GOING OFF IN THIS COUNTRY, OR ANY NATION, WOULD BE DEVASTATING.!

Correct. Dirty bombs are more of a psychological attack. It can kill scores of people but a nuclear bomb can take out, let’s say, the Eastern seaboard. Or at least the sewer called Washington DC and a couple of hundred miles around it.
