I watched the live feed of Egypt’s demonstrations on al-Jazeera. It’s available on the internet for those who want it. Cable companies should not carry it, because that creates a situation in which those who do not want it are then forced to pay for it anyway.

The thing that blows my mind is our government trying to tell cable companies what programming to carry. We already have publicly funded programming and now they’re trying to tell private companies what to do.

AJE is free over the air here in the DC metro arrea. You don’t need cable, just an antenna.
