What will happen Monday, history will record in less than 24 hours. The atmosphere is filled by suspense over the call for demonstration. Certainly the city is not calm. There were chants of "Allah-o akbar" across Tehran. People expect something to happen. Publicly, Mr. Karroubi and Mr. Mousavi have called for a demonstration in solidarity with the people of Egypt. Nobody thinks or believes this is about Egypt or will remain focused on Egypt. No wonder that their request has been rejected as illegal. Their advisers have announced that according to Article 27 of Iran's Constitution there is no need for a permit. It must be noted that both leaders are under house arrest now. Most likely they will be prevented from attending the demonstration. [While Karroubi has been under house arrest for four days, there is no independent confirmation that Mousavi has been similarly confined. As we noted two-and-a-half hours ago, a senior adviser to the former presidential candidate says that his mobile phone has been disconnected and it has not been possible to reach him. --Ed.]

Thanks for keeping up on this.
Our fearless leader is strangely absent about Iran. Where is the Mouth now. Let me see? If it is a Muslim government you don’t say anything only shoot your mouth off if it can switch to a Muslim government.. I think I see a pattern here!!!!
If the protesters (throughout the ME and Africa) cannot keep the MSM media interested in their cause, they may not achieve the goals they are looking for.

The White House’s answer is that it opened a Twitter account via the State Dept in farsi. Isn’t that wonderful? Yeah, there are all of 5 tweets on it, the last one from 6 hrs ago. Just so you can’t accuse them of not trying. (heavens no)
Real dedication to hope & change, don’t you think?
Thank you. I am surprised by the honesty of that comment being in any way associated with PBS.
Thanks AdmSmith (for both pings).
Thanks AdmSmith.
I guess no one has any weapons around their homes. After the last ten uprisings, one would hope they’d go prepared for trouble. Even if they just take the flatware, or glass bottles (both would be easy to conceal, so that the thugs would get suckered in, then group retribution time), they’d be more than prepared for anything besides gunfire. And there are only just so many troops and just so many bullets, a massive human wave attack would get to the shooters, and/or they’d turn tail and run.
God bless the people of Iran. Death to the Mullahs!
That’s a good link, PBS or no PBS. Wow. Until they start killing the guards and gangsters, there can be no progress in the overthrow. When the guards know they face certain death, one of these uprisings will find no guards. Thank you, thank you, I’ll be here all week.

How strange when the revolution is against an anti-American government, support on twitter seems less. Where is Google now? #iran #25bahman
Internet being report as down over most of Iran via tweets. Some confusion being detected via tweets coming out from link provided.
Weird coincidence.
