Terry Gilliam renounced his U.S. citizenship in ‘06, and he’d probably have run afoul of the residency requirement anyway. Michael Palin as a native-born Yorkshireman was right out already.

As long as we’re talking about funny men with British accents, it’s a shame Mark Steyn isn’t eligible. (Toronto-born and still a Canadian citizen.) He’d be as funny as Joe Biden, except intentionally.
