Ron Paul is as Conservative as they get on social issues. He does happen to be right on foreign policy, but he is too many years too late. The moment the US joined the UN, it became entangled in the mother of all foreign entanglements.

"Ron Paul is as Conservative as they get on social issues. " I don't know. He seems pretty squirrely on the homosexual marriage front. He voted against DOMA. I don't think he has any principled opposition to homosexual marriage.
