Recall the original report of her husband being in the house and aware that she had left early for a big day at the office.

That I don't remember reading but, geez. You mean he let his wife leave in that condition? When somebody is snookered that bad, you can smell them a mile away. Unless he was snookered too, then he might not hear anything.

Halogen lights setting the anti freeze coolant in a car radiator in a DC winter on fire has to be the lamest excuse cooked up by a drug induced mediot/mediots trying to protect a Czar under their beloved bozo.

Even funnier is that there is all kinds of warning about poisoning on Antifreeze containers I don't remember ever seeing a "flammable" warning. Hummm

That's because there isn't one. At least, not on the container in the trunk of my car, right now.

I just went and looked.

There are boldly lettered warnings not to swallow nor to inhale the fumes (drinking it can be very fatal). The bottle gives the boiling point (265 degrees I think) and of course it warns you not to open the cap on an overheated radiator. There is not one single word anywhere on the container regarding flammability.

That tells me that the manufacturer considers the possibility so remote as to be next to impossible. If they thought there was any way on God's green earth you could set the stuff on fire, they would include a warning, just to protect themselves legally.

Again, this is the ordinary everyday coolant most people use; if there is something different in BMW's that is more flammable, then I'd like to know about it.

“What could she have known in her line of work that could have wrecked someone big?”

I haven’t followed it closely, but I gather she was an Obama connected former White House staffer turned lobbyist. (Somebody correct me if I’m wrong.) As for what she could have known, anybody at any time can stumble across the skeleton in the closet. All it takes is fear of exposure on the part of somebody with something to hide and you have all the motive you need. As to what, exactly, that need not be anything of consequence. For example; King Henry said to his subordinates about Arch Bishop Thomas Becket, “Oh, please, won’t someone remove this thorn from my side?” He might as well have signed a death warrant. His subordinates killed the Arch Bishop. To which the King said, “I didn’t mean kill him!”

People in powerful positions make things happen without meaning to. One day at the Honeywell plant where I worked, the plant manager said while looking out the window, “I wonder how that plant over there is doing?” Two weeks later his subordinates dropped two heavy accounting ledgers on his desk with everything he could possibly want to know about the plant across the street. He’d made an off-hand comment. He had no desires to actually know the answer.

Even if her husband believed she had taken a taxi to the airport, why wasn't he calling her? Wouldn't that be the first response most people would have?

Actually, my thought is that his first response would have been "Oh, crap, my wife's going to pitch a hissy fit, her Beemer's burning up! I'd better call her and tell her that the house and the kids are OK before she sees it on TV, she'll kill me!"

The first oddity is that he didn't seem to wonder where she was; the second was that he didn't seem to be in a hurry to notify her what was happening.

I am guessing that she didn’t add water, but used BMW antifreeze.

We have all seen the “SUV KILLS” headlines over the years. This must be one way in which they do it.

I thought those sentences were outrageous when I read them last night. They are more outrageous in the morning.

I think that until the level is released we should take it with a grain of Salt. Did the ME mean Acute Alcohol Intoxication in the medical sense or did the ME throw in ‘acute’ as an adjective to confuse & deflect?
Not accusing the ME of lying, just want to see the numbers.

Acute Alcohol Intoxication from http://oade.nd.edu/educate-yourself-alcohol/acute-alcohol-intoxication/

Acute alcohol intoxication, or alcohol poisoning, can occur after the ingestion of a large amount of alcohol. Inexperienced drinkers, or those sensitive to alcohol, may become acutely intoxicated and suffer serious consequences after ingesting smaller amounts of alcohol.
When ingested in larger quantities, alcohol slows body functions, including heart rate, blood pressure, and breathing. When alcohol significantly depresses these vital centers, unconsciousness results, this is one step away from coma and possible death.

Many students are surprised to find out that death can occur from too much alcohol. Most students think that the worst that can happen is they will vomit or pass out, with a hangover the next day.

Symptoms of Alcohol Poisoning
•Repeated episodes of vomiting.
•Unconsciousness or semi-consciousness.
•Slowed or irregular breathing. Slow respiration, eight or less breaths per minute or lapses of more than 10 seconds.
•Cold clammy or pale or bluish skin.
•Vomiting while “sleeping” or passed out, and not waking up after vomiting.
Appropriate Action
If you encounter a person who exhibits one or more of these symptoms, we recommend that you call 911(Security). This is a medical emergency.
While waiting for medical transport, gently turn the intoxicated person on his/her side and maintain that position by placing a pillow in the small of the person’s back. This is important to prevent aspiration should the person vomit. Stay with the person until medical help arrives.

Intoxicated students should be evaluated by a professional if:
•Student is unable to stand or walk, or can only do so with difficulty.
•Student is only poorly aware of his or her surroundings.
•Student has difficulty breathing.
•Student has passed out or is stuporous.
•Student has fever or chills.
•Student has difficulty speaking or identifying him/herself to others.
•Student is obnoxious or unruly.
•Student is reported to have consumed a large quantity of alcohol, or chugged, or ingested other sedating or tranquilizing drugs.
If an individual is not showing the above symptoms at this point, consider if the following three conditions are met:
•Student is conscious, alert, and appears to understand the risks of the situation
•Student can state his or her name, class, and campus address.
•Student is able to stand or walk without assistance, although speech may be slurred.
Then the following steps are beneficial:
•Get the person to bed.
•Place them on their side, with a pillow in the small of their back.
•Someone needs to be checking in on them every 10-15 minutes for the remainder of the night.
If you are concerned for any reason, contact medical personnel.

Is that the kind of antifreeze she used? Some kinds of BMW antifreeze don’t contain any water at all, although they recommend 50/50 blend with distilled water for many types.
It sounds very odd.

Of course it meant something. It was alcohol intoxication that was not chronic intoxication that killed her...ergo, acute.

That driveway is flat. It is level with th road. She was backing out around a gold Toyota Camry (and a decorative fence) to get onto the street.
