The death of a lobbyist in a Capitol Hill garage fire last month has been ruled accidental by the D.C. medical examiner's office, which said Friday that 37-year-old Ashley Turton died from burns and inhaling "products of combustion."
An autopsy also found that "acute alcohol intoxication" contributed to her death, the office said.

Normally, car radiator cooling fluid is 50% ethylene glycol (50% water)
I designed many chemical, pharmaceutical (propylene glycol instead of ethylene glycol for less toxicity), biochemical and petrochemical plants that used brine (ethylene glycol with different concentrations) as heat transfer medium.
Never was the piping or jacketing full of brine “catching fire” designed for explosion or fire as a scenario. Even the normal plant design for an external fire, engulfing an area of equipment containing brine, was ever designed for a scenario of equipment-containing-brine pouring "flammable brine" to feed said fire!

That's been my question, too. Where the heck was hubby during all this??? If he knows she got up and left for work, then he should have heard or smelled the fire. Then he knows it's his wife's car and it's half out of the garage but says everyone in the house is accounted for??? The tan car in the driveway (which I'm assuming is hubby's) is removed by whom? Then, oops, what's this?!? We have a crispy critter!!! Imagine that!!! But then explain how her seat isn't burned or at least her tan colored headrest in the picture looks fine. Notice, too, the garbage on the curb is never disturbed by firefighters or reporters or gawking neighbors. I find it strange that the garbage is right in the middle of everything but is never touched, never tipped over, never moved out of the way but sits there pretty as you please through the whole thing.
So this “acutely drunk” woman manages to get herself out of the house and into her car in the morning, start the car, proceed to back out down the driveway before she then rolls forwards hitting a work bench at an extremely low speed, then pass out unconscious at exactly the moment she should be extricating herself from the vehicle.
Or this “acutely drunk” woman manages to drive herself home from a night out partying and then manages strike a work bench and then passes out at exactly the moment she should be extricating herself from the vehicle.
Did her vehicle door locks malfunction keeping her locked in the vehicle?
Wow, mel!! I will definitely defer to your knowledge. (Technical stuff ALWAYS go over my head.) I usually go with my intuition and in this case, something stinks...like maybe the “investigation”?

I took this picture on Sunday on Capitol Hill near the Eastern Market. Then I heard this story (below) on the news 12 hours later... Kinda eerie. (B/c I may have been the last person to take a photo of their house before the fire... What are the chances of that...

If she were that sloshed, she wouldn't have noticed the car behind her. Get up with the alarm, get dressed and downstairs to the car and still alert enough to maneuver around the other car but then passed out stone cold at the exact moment of an explosion? BTW, I have a bridge for sale.
Just look at how much room there is for the firemen to move around the driver’s side of the car. There’s a hefty one just standing there and another one half inside the car with the door open. No reason an able bodied person couldn’t have gotten out.

You are correct. Either the investigators or the journalist who wrote the story is/are obtuse, or are being intentionally misleading. She did not back up an inclined driveway, if anything she backed out onto a declining driveway. What they said is impossible unless she mistakenly put the car into D and drove into the workbench. Even then the scenario they paint is impossible with an engine coolant fire engulfing the garage before she could escape.
Clearly the corruption here runs very deep.
Yes, there is a slight bump at the door to keep rain out of the garage. But, of course, while a baseball would roll away from the garage but I can’t see how a big SUV would roll into the garge over the bump.

Take a look at the left side of the garage, where the bricks meet the neighbors' driveway. Notice how the neighbors' driveway slopes down toward the road. The back of their driveway is about three bricks higher than the middle of their driveway, where it meets the front of the garage. The neighbors' driveway appears to slope down to the road, and the Turtons' driveway appears to follow the same slope.
Take a look at the bottom of the stairs. The left side, adjoining the garage wall, is level with the driveway. The right side is shimmed because the driveway is a little lower at that point. The driveway appears to continue down hill at about the same slope.
Nope, it's the smell of cold anti-freeze coming out from the radiator of the just-started-engine of the BMW emitting almost zero vapor. The car jus touched a workbench that wasn't hit by the bumper stopping the car first. Then the monster radiator-eating workbench went through the grill, which is made out of paper and puncturing the poor steel radiator fins and piping! Maybe them BMW radiators are made out of cotton or cellophane nowadays!
If this regime came up with this absurd lies to Bangladeshis, they would be laughed out of town! The regime thinks of We The people as owners of negative IQs.

Blech. Just another reason I don’t live in the northeast. Onstreet parking, ugly houses crammed up against each other, and no yard for the kids to play in.
Those who are new to the thread Mr Turton lobbied for the Tides foundation prior to becoming the chief liaison to the house for our President. He was main person involved in the stimulus bill. In the bill was an 800,000,000 green energy earmark for Progress Energy. Progress Energy announced a merger later in the day on Jan 10 the day Mrs Turton was killed. She was suppose to be on a flight early that morning to Raleigh NC. Per DCA airport I found a flight direct that left at 6:40 am. Per a coworker she was stopping into the office first. The husband did not call in the fire. The police,Fire Dept, Homicide, FBI and ATF were all on this case at some point in the last 30 days. I will have more to follow. To those who wonder whats the big deal well no one is investigating this thing in the news media. Project back and imagine Scotter Libby’s wife getting 800,000,000 stimulus bonus for Halaburton. She is drunk and burns up in a car. No story? I think ISSA put Turton on notice he was going to be asked about how he and Tides got the bill written and passed so quickly. Now he will have a lot more trouble with his memory in the hearing.
