yes sir , this is what my great Uncle , who was physically present at that fight , told his sons and nephews, to include my granddad, who told their sons and nephews and cousins , who told their sons ,which includes me . This is known as oral history . Not the kind that some partisan researchers create to fulfill a certain literally goal years after the facts . About the Congressional findings , that is a matter of open record I believe . If you do wish to read a comprehensive book about General Forrest’s life & times , read the one by Wyeth . It’s the best
