At some point Sprawl-mart will have its employees so scared to do anything that the criminals will essentially have free roam of the store. With the secure knowledge that any attempt by an employee to stop them will be met with said employee losing their job...
I was a Walmart LP for 5 years. The day that AP09 became policy I knew I had to quit. Total hands off and no pursuit beyond 10 feet from the door. In addition, while they will say there is no “quota” on stops, if you didn’t maintain a certain level of productivity, you were let go. AP09 made the job impossible.
Better to lose your job than lose your life, which seemed
to be the options here. I just wonder what effect this
will have on loss prevention efforts in Wal Marts.
