I appreciate that CPAC attempts to stake the platform to the right of the RNC.
Unfortunately, the political spectrum is not strictly on the “X” axis, there is also a “Y” axis, and the inclusion of certain libertarian philosophies takes us up the Y axis into the the land of confusion and weirdos.
If they want to vote with us in the general, fine. There should never, ever be a “plank” in the platform endorsing gay rights, abortion tolerance, affirmative action, open borders or bilingualism.
I’ll leave it there for now.
