Oprah wants 'respect' for Obama
Politico ^ | February 11, 2011 | MJ Lee

Posted on 02/11/2011 5:59:45 AM PST by John W

Oprah called on President Obama's critics on Friday to “show some level of respect.”

"I feel that everybody has a learning curve, and I feel that the reason why I was willing to step out for him was because I believed in his integrity and I believed in his heart," the influential TV host said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” in Chicago.

Of the negative mood of the country, Oprah added, “I think everybody complaining ought to try it for once.”

She said the presidency is a position that “holds a sense of authority and governance over us all,” and that “even if you’re not in support of his policies, there has to be some level of respect.”

nopra and nobama are two narcissistic loser grifters who prey on white guilt and equal opportunity to earn millions (if not billions) and try to ruin this country through their insipid “leadership” of their respective followers. nopra...take your ill-gotten billions, leave this country and stfu. nobama resign and go with her. How's that for the appropriate level of “respect”?

That phenomenon has been called “the soft tyranny of low expectations”.

Obama is the most irresponsible, anti-American president of all time. Where is any respect earned?

True respect for the man and his wife would be arrest, trail, and jail. A lifetime of designer orange clothes and all expenses paid by the Federal Government, in a quiet place of rest.

I don't respect Oprah, so why would I suddenly respect Obama because she wants me to?

It's a black thang

“That phenomenon has been called “the soft tyranny of low expectations”.”

Actually, I think it’s the “soft racism of lowered expectations”.

I don’t care how you dress it up or what you call it, having different standards for people based on some arbitrary ethnic attribute is racism. Plain and simple.

Respect.
Can’t earn it?
Demand it.
Still nobody gives it?
Have Opert whine about it for ya.

How’s that working out?

Dr. Williams eloquently writes about his experience while growing up poor in the projects of Philly. He was expected to do his best and was not allowed to turn in inferior work (whether academic or otherwise) just because of his skin color or the amount of money his single-mother earned.

If we showed the level of respect Obama deserves, the Secret Service would be searching many sacks full of rotten tomatoes to make sure they were safe to throw at the disgusting communist thug in our White House, and the custodial staff would be overworked cleaning up spit (and worse) from every time the crook came in sight of anyone who loves our country - probably a rare event in the Obama Regime. Fortunately for us, and for the Secret Service and White House custodial staff workloads, most real Americans are showing a whole lot more restraint than Obama deserves.

I respect that he was born ... some where.

I am not a birther. It obvious he was born.

And I am also convinced he was in Connecticut during the summer of 79 , getting his SSN, while visiting the Black Panthers , snorting coke, and working as a mens Boy-Toy. I respect an honest living.

I’ve never watched Oprah, but from what I gather, her ‘gig’ is sharing every aspect of her life on her show .. her feelings, her background, blah blah blah. All so her viewers can KNOW her, know ‘where she’s coming from’ and “who she is.’

Does it not strike her as peculiar that she’s in 100% behind a guy who will share absolutely NOTHING of ‘where he’s coming from’ nor ‘who he is.’

We are all supposed to buy into his being so brilliant because he was editor of the Harvard Law Review. YET, 2 years before he was installed in that position, the criteria changed from its being the top student in the class academically to being a symbol of the school’s diversity. Still, there’s not one article to read, one paper available, no grades, nothing, to show ‘who he was’ at Harvard, or at Columbia, or Occidental, or any aspect of his life whatsoever.

Isn’t busybody Oprah just a LITTLE BIT curious ?
