McClintock?

In my eyes McClintock rates a C- as a conservative. He supports the invasion of illegal aliens and rarely speaks out against the fiscal irresponsibility of Kalifornia’s ‘leaders’. He seems to have no stance on personal rights and liberties. No one associates McClintock with the Constitution.

Need I say more?

Perhaps you have Tom McClintock confused with someone else?

On immigration, McClintock is staunchly against illegal immigration, for border enforcement, against amnesty, for U.S. sovereignty, for English as the common language-- and generally FOR the rule of law. He ripped the President of Mexico on this issue in a speech on the House floor. (A must see video).

As to California fiscal irresponsibility, he is legendary in his outspokenness on the issues of spending, borrowing, constitutional abuses, and fiscal recklessness. Since his election to the U.S. House of Representatives three years ago, he is now more focused on national issues than California issues -- doing the job he was elected to do. He is a member of the House budget committee and chair of a committee on Water where he is doing a bang up job. Regardless, he continues to publish his opinions on California issues.

As to personal rights, liberties, and the Constitution, I can only suggest that you read his speeches, his editorials, and his press releases. Also, you might try reading the articles archived here at FR, some posted by the Congressman, himself, or those articles archived on his House website. And of course, there is the Issues section of his House website that covers his position on a broad range of issues. If there is any particular "right" or "liberty" to which you can't determine his position, post it. I'm sure some knowledgeable freeper can probably help you out in that regard.

Need I say more?

Please educate yourself before doing so.
