Would be great irony if McCain had to serve with Hayworth.
No, no, no. Not Hayworth again. He was a plant by the Rinos and Dems. He cannot win. He is a poster child for what the Tea Party movement does wrong. They are naive about who to promote and support. He is a loser.

I didn’t say I support his candidacy. I just said it would be ironic if he got elected.

Are we starting to weed out the RINOs now....could this be the beginnings of a Conservatism surge?
HUH?
Kyl is a raging conservative up next to his sidekick from AZ, the estimable Senator Juan McAmnesty. I certainly hope there is no scandal associated with this fine Senator. The ONLY thing I disagreed with Kyl on was his support of Bush and his AMNESTY plan. I make no excuses for Kyl on that one, even though I know what he was attempting to do - LIMIT THE DAMAGE OF HIS SIDEKICK MCAMNESTY WORKING WITH SWIMMER KENEDY, AND THE GREAT ALIEN LOVING BUSH 43.

JD lost his House seat and his attempt at a Senate seat, IIRC.
Do a little research on why JD lost his House seat and you find - guess what - a RAT LYING CAMPAIGN.
JD could not possibly go up against McAmnesty who had $20 + million for his campaign in tiny AZ (~90% of it left over from his failed Pres candidacy). We tried real hard.

Jon Kyl is a descent man. The kind of descent man who would retire at 68 and spend his last few years with his wife and grandkids instead of the cesspool that is DC. I don’t think a conspiracy theory is needed to figure this one out.

More likely he's wanting to get out of Dodge before the SHTF and splatters on him. I am beginning to wonder who has the first seats on the last chopper out. DC could get particularly ugly if the SHTF.

I am beginning to wonder who has the first seats on the last chopper out. My money would be on Reid, Pelousy and Hoyer......actually, they'll probably be on the first chopper out......

Just saw this. I’m surprised, but then I’ve been
so out of the loop. Is it a surprise?

“I will not seek reelection the United States Senate but will retire from public service in January 2013,” Kyl said. He added that he was confident he would win if he ran again, adding: “There is no reason other than the fact than I think its time.” He revealed that he had all but decided not to run again when he won six years ago.
As for the future, “I wouldn’t close my mind to being a vice presidential candidate,” Kyl told reporters. “Having said that, I expect the chances of that are zero.”
