A state lawmaker has filed a bill to require presidential candidates to show an original birth certificate before getting on the ballot in Tennessee.
Several other states have filed similar legislation. It stems from the so-called "birthers," who have questioned the legitimacy of President Barack Obama's candidacy. They believe he may have been born outside the United States and have filed lawsuits demanding to see his original birth certificate. A judge has dismissed the lawsuits.
State Sen. Mae Beavers, R-Mount Juliet, said she was asked to file the legislation by the Wilson County Tea Party. She said she wouldn't comment about whether or not she believes Obama was born outside the United States because she has no personal knowledge about whether or not he can prove his citizenship. She said this would erase all concerns in future elections.
"We just want to make doubly sure in Tennessee if we put someone on the ballot, they are qualified to run," said Beavers.
First, states start implementing eligibility checks. Then, it’s voter ID. Next thing you know, the dead won’t even be allowed to vote. What’s this world coming to!?

At some point she will push him over the edge. She has identified his weakness and is going to pound on it at every opportunity.
She needs to make a comment about why a judge recently stated that identity theft committed by illegal aliens isn’t a serious crime, when it is a felony for American citizens. Heck, we even have elected officials high up in the US government that have. “alledgedly”, multiple SSN’s and they are treated differently than the normal citizens.

Y’know one of the reasons she is so different is that she is not frightened to go right after the lamestream media. If you look around, there are far too many Republicans who still try and get along with the media. Big mistake. Sarah takes them on fearlessly and more Republicans should do the same. No good trying to pretend they are objective. They are working for Obama. End of story. Republicans need to fight he media as hard as they fight the Democrats. Harder actually.
Curiously, the isue had died down somewhat, or rather, it was simmering below the radar..It was Abernathy, and Chris Matthews, who reopened Pandora’s box..I wonder if we’re approachign the “tipping point” on this?

What amazes me is that so many people don’t care if they are being lied to. They don’t want to know whether Obama was really eligible or if he is lying to them.
How can you go through life not wanting to know the truth? Isn’t that willful ignorance?
Make Obama prove he was born in Hawaii.
Republicans need to work on destroying the current biased media as hard as they have worked to destroy conservatives and our country.
12 and counting. All it really will take is for one of them, but the more the better. It will keep the democrats lawyers busy and will use up their funds (sorry, the our funds that they have stolen).

I agree.
Nancy Pelosi signed off on this so she is directly responsible. She did not perform as required.
I also agree that any Representative or Senator should have standing to find out what happened, but none of them have the courage to stand up for us.
Possibly this idea to have the State perform this task is the best idea, since IMO we have been let down.
In 2012 Obama will present a state certified copy of a Hawaii Certification of Live Birth and the Democrat Abercrombie administration will say that it is the official birth certificate of the state of Hawaii since 2001.
The previous Republican administration in Hawaii under Governor Lingle already declared the short form COLB to be the state’s official birth certificate.

Under the “Full faith and credit” clause of the US Constitution (Article IV, Section 1), any official record that one state says is their approved document must be accepted in other states.
If this keeps up, Obama may run for president in Kenya.
He appears to be more qualified to be the Prime Minister of Great Britain. They welcome dual citizens. The more foreign citizenship you have, the better.
