Guess this kinda negates the loss of NY rep. Chris Lee who resigned today.

No, this is a internal Lousiana state rep.

And just because Chris Lee resigned, it doesn't mean a Democrat replaced him. The seat is vacant.

Also, in California, Congresswoman Jane Harman (D) resigned two days ago. So Chriss Lee (R) and Jane Harman (D) cancel each other out.
