O’Reilly is an arrogant, rude, pompous ass who consistently interrupts his interviewee. He asks a question and about halfway into the answer, cuts off the speaker and fires another question. The implication is that Bill is so smart and his time so valuable that he quickly grasps and completely understands the point or information the speaker is trying to convey.
I saw this type of boorish behavior creep into the Army culture a few years back. Generals and Colonels (wannabe generals) would be receiving a briefing. Midway through a subordinate’s discussion of a briefing slide the General would pronounce “Got it” and expect the next slide to be put up. But I guess this can be expected from the type of Major General who refer to himself in the third person as “the Two Star”.
JMHO, of course.
Uh, it is called stopping a filibuster answer and/or realizing the speaker doesn’t have a clue what they are talking about and/or wasting everyone’s time.
I guess you would rather spend 20 minutes listening to a single bloviating meaningless answer or speech or watch a meaningless overhead and as a result not get a chance to either ask another question or more on to something more substantive or better yet get to the real heart of a problem.
Ok. I got it. Lots of people like that in the world.
PS. I bet you like Larry King style interviews. YOu know, ask hard hitting questions like “how are you handling the pressure of the job” and then sitting with hands on chin waiting for the end of a 10 minute meaningless answer...

Not only does he interrupt but have you noticed how he ends the interviews with his own brilliant one sentence summaries, without giving the interviewee a chance to respond? It’s like Subliminal Man from SNL.
