However, FNC reporter Shannon Bream, and many other verified news accounts on Twitter, typically break major news stories 10 to 15 minutes ahead of the wire services like AP.

They do that to avoid reporting false information like NPR breaking the news that Gabby Giffords died and then 15 minutes later the world found out she survived the attempted assassination.   There's really no benefit being 15 minutes in front of your competition in the news business.  Get the facts first and then get the story out.

Actually, on twitter there is a large advantage because conservative can drive the narrative instead of letting the MSM dictate to us.

There are millions of conservatives on twitter.
