A judge delivered an extraordinary tirade against workless Britain yesterday.

Ian Trigger said it was no wonder foreign workers were ‘flooding’ into the country when his court dealt with so many ‘workshy’ layabouts.

The judge’s target was Anthony Roberts, a 30-year-old career criminal who was arrested after bursting into a terrified family’s home.

Maybe if there were not so many foreign workers....there would not be so many “feckless layabouts”.

Not an expert on the UK....but I bet those foreign workers get paid a lot less than British citizens...which means that there is no free-market based reason for the foreign labor

Charity should be a function of the Church, not of the government. Whoever doesn’t work to their ability shouldn’t eat.

We’re pretty far past that now.

Some “suffering” and “inhumanity” will have to occur to get right.

Oh well...worse than that may be coming down the road soon.

The so-called liberals have been doing “good” with our money for a century, and the voters allowed it rather than be called mean.

They just created a set of rules to follow if you wish to be paid for being feckless.

So sayeth the gainfully employed black robe with full government bennies and retirement, and not in direct competition with a flood of foreign blue collar labor.

All this talk of the working immigrants! From what I read, a great many of them are soaking up the freebies, too.

The layabouts make more on the dole than they would working. Simple economics. Britain has engineered it’s own destruction.

Same here. I know a woman who takes care of brain damaged adults. Not including housing, dental, food, they take home more than she is paid to work for them.

Getting federal SSI checks is the road to jackpot, opening up free/subsidized housing, food stamps, near free medical, cable, phone, heat.

What you subsidize, you increase.

If a state makes it profitable to not work, then it will get more and more layabouts. And all the talk in the world won’t stop it.

I don’t know what’s the bigger curse, the British lazies or the Moose coming to overwhelm Britain by sheer number.

The judge complained that the rules prevented him from jailing Roberts

That's a big help. Too bad the headline in the story couldn't have read "Home invader shot dead".

His father said, "He’s not rotten but is a bit of a waste of space."

You say that as if judges don’t have to work hard to get were they are and are just given their jobs. And really, what is it with an instinctive hatred of public sector workers regardless of what they actually do? Some of these jobs are neccessary for society to function and be protected, just ask any serviceman...
