Absolutely!

My husband and I purposefully chose a modest house because we didn't want the other to struggle if something happened to one of us.

The "I've got to have it now" attitude is too much for me to take lately, especially when my tax dollars are footing the bill!

Too many jackrabbits these days- the turtle used to win the race. At least that’s the story my mom read to me when I was a little kid.

And government may not leave you with enough of your own money to afford a modest house. Taxes and insurance on a modest house are not so modest anymore. Not to mention the utilities. This small town charges more for water and sewer than a major metropolitan area.
