[ you have an interesting prospective. I never thought of a Theocracy (Sharia Law) as a democracy. I don't really understand how creating a Caliphate and ruled by one man is a democracy or mob rule. ]

Monarchy is also MOb Rule by mobsters..
No democracy ever existed that was democratic..

The founders meant when they said they wanted to avoid mob rule they didn't mean mobster.

what they meant, they didn't want people that were not part of the system to have a voice in government. That is why they believed only land holders could vote.
