Mubarak, 82, who refuses calls to end his 30-year-old rule before September polls

Full of Watergate wet dreams, the Press have a fetish for "taking down" a government. They are pushing this. There is no good reason for Mubarak to quit only months before election. If he quit tomorrow, the election would be moved up perhaps four months with no "reforms" in place.

The press want chaos as chaos begets headlines and attracts viewers. Increased audience lines their wallets and enhances their celebrity status.

The protestors need to get out of the streets so normal economic activity can resume. Their unrest is starving those fellow Egyptians dependant upon tourism for income.

Obama is not going to resign ahead of an election whether 2012 or 2018.

You have very succinctly put what I was using too many words to say. Had Obama and his Kiddie Kommie Korps played this straight up from the git-go, this would have already blown over.

This whole set-up has Iranian fingerprints, DNA, and fiber evidence all over it. Give it another week, before Mubarak's boys take off the gloves. I feel that Mubarak will take a hike because he's has not been 100% physically. But good general that he is, he will leave behind a strong interim government to take the country to elections. If the MB starts feeling too frisky, all bets are off. If they get out of line, they will be crushed. (That'll be me cheering in the background)

Big loser: The Mombasa Moonbeam. He abandoned Mubarak early ... but now he's trying to weasel back in ...Foxtrot Oscar Alfa Hotel.

Bingo. You could say the same about the USA media where they make huge profits by intentionally keeping the USA divided and fighting amongst ourselves. The media is absolutely what drives the divide in the USA just like any catalyst intended to create a reaction.

A unified cohesive nationalist USA that can work together towards creating a prosperous nation with common goals, is never in their interest. The media/press gets paid billions for political advertising and the pundits who keep the pot stirred get paid millions. It all comes down to rabble rousing and money under the pretense it is about politics, whether it is the USA or Egypt.
