She was less stupid about homeland security and intelligence matters than most every D in Congress. Hate to say it, but this is a big loss.
She was relatively sane on those matters in a district that votes D anyway.
She and Nancy did not get along. She was passed over for the Chairman position for the Intelligence committee.

Looks like a commie front for payoffs. Take a gander at their 2008 Form 990. One of their biggest expenditures is the Kennan Institute for Advanced Russian Studies—$3,216,396, among other Commie pursuits, including their Latin American project. All in all, $12-$19 million flows through their coffers every year. Of course, it makes perfect sense, a commie organization with the name of a commie president.
