Bill O'Reilly interviewed Obama on Fox News a few minutes ago. The discussion ranged from football, to football, to football, to football. They even talked a little about football. No, actually, they talked about health care, too.
This was basically Fox News' answer to Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl, except instead of pre-Super Bowl entertainment for babies and teen girls, it was for political nerds. Nothing about the interview really stuck outit was clear that Obama and O'Reilly both just wanted to get out of there and start watching the game.
But it was fun! O'Reilly began by thanking Obama for the State Department's role in getting a couple of Fox reporters out of Cairo, which was nice of him. Later, he asked Obama if he had "moved to the center" in recent months, which is about the dumbest question you could possibly ask a sitting president. Obama said he was focused on making sure the economy is growing. Also, he explained why "there's nothing socialist" about the health care bill, in what was the most direct rebuke of O'Reilly's nightly rantings. Then O'Reilly asked how Obama felt about the fact that so many Americans hate him, and it almost seemed like boasting.
Eventually the discussion turned to football, which, of course, is why God made Super Bowl Sunday. Obama refused to pick a side because "my Bears" weren't in the game. But by that time, hardly anyone was watching because it was time to begin stirring the giant vats of guacamole and arranging the Pringles just so.

It would be difficult to find two bigger egos in a room at the same time, especially talking to each other. BOR will try to dine out on this for weeks to come. It’ll be a constant stream of him bragging about how he gave obastard such a tough interview. Obastard’s got BOR beat in the arrogance and narcism departments, though, and that’s saying something.
Needless to say, I didn’t watch it.
Both events are disgusting spectacles. I wouldn’t be caught dead watching either the interview or the SB.
Agree with you about Geraldo and BOR, but not their replacements. Laura had a show briefly on FNC last year. It wasn’t real good some of the time and it was canceled after about two or three weeks. Ann’s a great bomb-thrower, but she doesn’t have the facts at her fingertips any better than BOR has. I’ve seen her discuss politics impromptu before. She just doesn’t have a command/repertoire of the facts in her head. Malkin and Steyn would be much better.
What a pathetic sad thing to have to watch.

The puppy superbowl was the same.
I did see a preview of more to come of the interview? that had BOR ask Obama about muslim brotherhood and Obama says they are mixed blah blah but are anti U.S. DID I HEAR THIS RIGHT?
I’ll bet Obama was incredibly unnerved in the “no spin zone”./sarc
.
It was not just obamacare and the super bowl. It also included Egypt. The piece I saw seemed very short. I can’t imagine it having been more than 30 minutes...I’m thinking maybe 20. I didn’t time it.
About obamacare, BOR continually referred to it as obamacare rather than as “Affordable Care Act” as the dems are insistent on doing. He asked about it being declared unconstitutional. Obama stated that 12 judges had refused to hear the case, so that meant he had more judges on his side than the 2 who had ruled against it. (A follow-up should have asked if those other trial cases were looking at different aspects of obamacare or working at wording the objection just right.)
About Egypt, BOR insisted the Muslim Brotherhood were bad actors and Obama tried to assure the MB wasn’t really big enough to take a role. (BS....they’re ruthless enough)
Personally, I didn’t think it was that bad of an interview. I don’t think attacking obama during the interview would have come across correctly. That would have led the morning news and turned obama into a sympathetic character.
BOR did INSIST that the muslim brotherhood were dangerous and a real problem.
Maybe someone else watched a different interview than I did.
The Puppy Bowl was pretty good. BOR sucked as usual. He reminds me of El Baradie.
He looked like he was kneeling down before his master.
YEah it did look that way. Obama is being well trained by his chief of staff to BS and look moderate. He BSed every question beyond BS.
Obama was at war with Fox even banned them from the WH.Who does Obama think he is fooling?
The “Blatherator” finally met a bigger ego. BOR is as unbearable as Obama.
Did oreily get his knees dirty?
Fluff and puff.
Didn’t watch because it was predictable.
oreily is next babba wawwa.
Not ONE question to OBAMA about gas prices and Obama’s ban on drilling. AND NO JOBS. Banks all suck and are jacking up basic checking fees, No high interest savings accounts.NO JOBS.
It was no different than the two day love fest with The Rookie back in September 2008.
Questions like, “If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be and why?”
I wasn’t expecting him to ask about the BC. He’s never been interested in it.
Didn’t OReilly say he has seen the BC? The gov of Hawaai hasn’t but OReilly has.
