Yes, it is:
‘elohiym
el-o-heem’
plural of ‘’elowahh’ (433); gods in the ordinary sense; but specifically used (in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme God; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates; and sometimes as a superlative:—angels, X exceeding, God (gods)(-dess, -ly), X (very) great, judges, X mighty.

It can be plural or singular. It is the root of the later title for God used in Canaan, El, and is used in names like Israel Michael and so on. Many Christians think of Elohim as the Trinity, but it is much more than that when used as a plural. It includes the plural "sons of God," not to be confused with the "Son of God." You might look up the Divine Counsel while looking up Elohim.

Elohim is plural; but, it is the term God uses for Himself various places in Scripture - example “Let US create man in our own image.” There aren’t multiple Gods. There is one God in three persons.
