I doubt any of us believe this will cause the fraud to be removed from office before 2012. It could help defeat him in 2012, plus, it could help to more seriously damage the Democrat party.
A Birth Certificate is so basic and so easy for nearly all Americans to lay their hands on their own copy, that it can be used to create a lot of doubt about not only Obama’s honesty, but the honesty of all Democrat leaders.
It is a bale of straw added to all the straw on the camels back.

You are correct. Believing this will hurt the Democrats in 2012 is short-sighted. What is really at stake here is our nation's sovereignty. If we continue to fight this issue politically instead of Constitutionally, We the People will fail.
The courts may very well be corrupt. But as it stands right now, no one has stepped up and founded a case that is both Constitutional and appropriate. Attacking the candidate is never the solution unless you are a candidate yourself.
The source of vetting for candidates is the issue here. It is Unconstitutional to let a private party dictate qualifications for public office. Nowhere in the United States Constitution does it say a private political party can qualify itself for the office of the presidency. It's clear in the Law of Succession placed into law back in 1948 that the qualification of candidates rests on the shoulders of Congress once a candidate becomes an elect. Prior to that the states are responsible for ensuring candidates belong on the ballots.
Start with taking both major parties to task legally. Civil court is the optimum place to achieve this. As Congress continues to refuse to address this issue of accountability, We the People will have to ensure this gets the legal attention it requires.
