You need to dig deeper and you will see that there is much room in the Arabic for interpretation of each of these. For example, his "slowness of speech" is interpreted by some to be a stutter and by others to be rambling (Obama does both).

Just as with Christian eschatology, there is so much room for interpretation and for error that it is difficult to make, as you have, hard and fast conclusions.

But let me once again ask you...where is the "married with children exclusion"?

Also, please note, these characteristics are not viewed from an infidel POV but from a muslim one. Furthermore, if you will study islamic eschatology you will note that not all the characteristics are applicable from the very beginning of the Mahdi's emergence.

Let me restate my position. I said that Obama fancies himself as the Mahdi. My position is that he may or not be correct.

Your position, if I understand correctly is that NO he does not fancy himself as the Mahdi and NO he cannot be the Mahdi.

I don't think I need to remind you how difficult it is to prove a negative and how little room there is for error when one takes that position.
