“We understand your concern. While we may not agree with the actions/politics of the President, when the White House called and asked if they could use our Facilities for the cause of the First Lady’s initiative, Childhood Obesity, our leaders prayerfully decided that we should show Grace and agree to the request. And we do trust our leaders.
We are assured that Wednesday’s event will not be political in its tone, which is something that North Point strategically does not do.
We believe that there will be people coming to this event that may not attend a church, or don’t know about the love that God has for them. We as a church, may be the beginning of them feeling safe enough to enter and attend our Sunday worship services. Do we think God is big enough to use this event to reach people for Him? You betcha! You can watch it live at www.letsmove.gov and see what happens.
