Doesn’t surprise me that Northpoint would be hosting it. Talk about a church thats a mile wide and an inch deep.
Could it be that this is probably why the Dems love this guy, because he makes everyone feel good about themselves, because the Gospel and the Cross are left out, so as to not offend anyone. They can go to church and not worry they will be ashamed of their sins against God?
Indeed if you try to find a statement of Andy Stanley taking a stance against any particular type of sin, you will be hard pressed to find one.
IT seems to be a mushy let's all feel good about ourselves type of church rather than a church that brings the children unto God. How can one be forgiven if they know not their sins? If they feel good about the sins they are committing, because no one will guide them to the “offensive” cross or speak the “offensive” gospel, how will they ever “go and sin no more?”

And my last question to her might be this....Why does your husband appoint anti Christian Judges to the Supreme Court, and do you also support his judges.
While it has been a while, I have helped organize and served as the media spokesman for two FReeps in the Atlanta area, one of Cynthia McKinney, and one of Hillary. While I don’t have much use for Michelle, I just can’t come up with a big enough give-a-damn to put much effort into a FReep of this. Am willing to be convinced I should, but I just don’t see it.
I thought perhaps that the Atlanta Falcons were starting practice early this year. Anybody know what position she plays?
First, let state: I did not have the time to read all the posts. However, as a regular attender of NPCC/Buckhead CC, I want to chime in:
I wonder if there would be this much discussion if this event had been for Laura Bush and her reading initiative. I doubt it.
I tend to agree with Andy and the elders decision, not only because I trust them, but because I trust God. How many of these posts have stated that a large part of the crowd were people who never attended church? These are the people NPCC was created to reach. (i.e. Create an environment to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.) Add into the mix that FLOTUS got to spend time with Andy Stanley and I believe it was the right decision.
NPCC and it’s affiliates are one of the most influential churches in the U.S. (and hence, the world). God is changing lives everyday through the works of NPCC. I believe that NPCC and a handful of other biblically based non-denominational churches are on the leading edge of a worldwide revival.
The decision to let the FLOTUS speak about childhood obesity is no reason to dismiss NPCC. I trust that whatever God had in mind by bringing the FLOTUS to NPCC, He got it right. That is exactly where she needed to be.
