Chrysler Workers Allegedly Spent Breaks at a Dope House

Three factory workers are suspended without pay after police catch them with drugs coming back from their lunch break. They work at the Jefferson North plant. A few months ago, Fox 2 cameras caught workers from that same plant chugging beer on their lunch breaks.

Chrysler says our investigation prompted them to take a hard look at other employees at the plant, and that's what led to these latest workers getting busted. Fox 2's Simon Shaykhet has the story. (see video at source URL)

Government Motors ain’t stupid, they realize that the dopers will screw up (more than usual) and that will result in massive recalls that will put more union workers on the job and obammma will claim a reduction in the unemployment rate.

Some people will try to blame Chrysler for this.

Nah, they are just compassionate people and they were there trying to talk druggies into walking the strait and narrow path and THIS is how they are treated for their efforts in helping the lost and downtrodden! /MS

“Some people will try to blame Chrysler for this.”

Some people will try to blame George W. Bush and the Tea Party movement for this.

A news outlet doing its job to expose chicanery. I’m impressed.

What’s the problem? I thought this perk was negotiated into the last UAW contract.

LOL. In Germany, the toolmakers have bottles of bier sitting on their workbenches, and the vending machines have bier in them. In the US, used to be common (as far as I know, it still is) for workers to eat at the local bar, hamburger and a beer.

A friend of mine used to work for the Strohs brewery when it was in downtown Detroit. He said they had beer dispensers throughout the plant for the employees......

“...a beer”.

Yeah, a beer is probably okay. But multiple beers — no so much. Usually alcohol and machinery don’t mix that well.

What the reporter neglected to include is that back in September, the same Chrysler workers at the Jefferson North Assembly plant (Warren, MI) were also videotaped smoking dope, slamming beers and then driving back to work.

And the unions will protect them as having ‘personal issues’ and expect the company to provide rehab and care, instead of firing the bastards.

I used to travel to customer sites on a daily basis. I’ve been to more than one company that had beer in their vending machines.

Did they also have bags of pot and cocaine on the catering trucks?

Some just might have, they sure acted like they were in a different orbit.

I was at a factory in L.A. one time (in the 80's) and Immigration stopped by. I heard someone yell "La Migra", next thing I know, I am the only person in the factory.

They must have been the ones who built my wife’s last car. What a lemon that was. She is pretty happy with her new Ford.
