I often wonder what it would take for the taxpaying citizens of this country to take up arms and take to the streets. Our government long ago crossed the line from just plain incompetent to flat out corrupt and anti constitutional and anti American.
My opinion:
1. When the government (congress) cuts spending enough that we can actually 'work' our way out of our financial problems over time. The American people will not tolerate the pain and riot.
or
2. When congress cuts enough to do any good and the American people take to the streets due to the pain, and then congress decides that inflating the debt away is less troubling for them. People will riot due to high prices.
As my old (60's+) buddies have been telling me for two years now: "There's no peaceful way back from here."
