McCain supports Obama. No surprise there.

Her loyalty to him, although admirable, was sorely misplaced

This is good news for Palin.

As far as I'm concerned, McCain was owed a favor after choosing Palin to be his running mate. Palin, therefore, was obligated to support McCain in his reelection as Senator.

It is now "debt paid." McCain owes nothing to Palin, and Palin owes nothing to McCain.

They are both free agents now -- free of each other.

You can bet that by November 2012, McCain will have spoken up on behalf of a candidate. He can’t help himself. He’ll have some half-baked reason how it is not a flip-flop from what he said in January 2011. McCain can’t be trusted.

See Sarah, that's what your support of him bought you...nothing.

Interesting. We can all speculate about why he won’t support her. Maybe he knows he isn’t popular and wants to remove as much as possible any connection between them to give her a chance?

"I think I’m staying out of this for the first time in many years,"

Just damn. A shame that McQueeg didn't say this about running for the Senate again.

I think Jorge Arbusto also recently announced he’s staying out of politics.

Glad to hear both of these millstones around our necks will be taking a backseat.

I’d rather they disappear altogether.

Obviously, he’s content with 0bama being re-elected, as he was content with 0bama being elected in ‘08.

Even if Palin had to pay McNasty not to endorse her, it would have been worth it. The farther away she can run from any previous association with that senile old psycho, the better.

He’s probably not backing Palin because he realizes she caused him to lose because she was more intersted in building her own popularity then in helping him to get elected. Since most people expected him to endorse Palin, after all, he put her on his ticket, he can’t endorse anyone else either. If you say no to someone at the dance, you have to tell everyone no. I am sure he is holding a grudge against Palin for causing him to lose. I didn’t like McCain either, but I can see his point of view.
