Americans do not look upon Eastern Christians as “real” Christians. They never have.

John 15:20 Remember the words I spoke to you: 'No servant is greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.

2 Timothy 3:12 In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,

The scripture should seem to indicate that they are a real church. After all, what uncommitted person would continue being a Christian in such an awful, hateful, anti-Christian environment?

Maybe we should all join them.
