I fear that very soon we might be educated on why the United States maintains a Navy- but a Navy is useless without a commander- in- chief who will use it in the national interests of his country. And that brings up a big difference which Victor David Hanson in his perceptive analysis fails to draw:
For the first time in American history we might be led by a commander in chief who does not want the best interests of the United States to prevail. One can excuse Jimmy Carter as holding squishy left-wing views because that is the inevitable side effect of left-wing virus but with this president the disease is worse than merely seeing the United States as colored, as Hanson puts it, in shades of gray because it shares declensions with its enemies, rather this president sees the United States itself as evil and the principal obstacle to the final socialist rapture.
It is not a coincidence that Barak Obama was anointed, like David of the old testament, by George Soros to do away with that "obstacle".
