Pissant, I call them as I see them. I believe that many of the arguments you present are emotional, as opposed to logical.

You do raise some good points for discussion, though.

I would caution you that some of the positions that are ascribed to Palin are vestiges from a campaign in which she was not allowed to speak her own agenda. For me, I openly opined that McCain was not conservative enough to fit my agenda. She, as the second banana pick, could not be allowed to stray from the McCain line. Any speech or video of her from that era is colored by that reality.

Speech before that time, or significantly afterward (boy is “significant” a loaded term) is fair game.

In the end, I believe that Palin, Bachmann, and any other conservatives interested in the brass ring need to personally present their cases to the voters.

And to allow the media to “Quayle” any conservative is to allow the democrats to pick our candidate.

I’m about to hit the hay - it’s late. I may not respond further on this thread.

But please consider that, if your honest intent is to convince conservative voters to look beyond Palin as a candidate, you have failed in your choice of arguments (at least from my perspective). Conservatives do not respond well to “Quayling” candidates, where the enemedia is allowed to define who and what we are.

Have a good evening.

First, the media can only Quayle a quaylable candidate. George Bush and Reagan were subjected to the same sort of nonsense and brushed it off. Palin may do so, but to date has not, IMO.

2nd. Title IX was brought up by Palin out of the blue on the campaign trail when she was asked a question about empowering women. Nothing to do with McCain and it is not the only time she has made statements in support of Title IX

3rd: Her interview with BOR where she re-iterated her amnesty plan was July 9th 2010. Keep in mind that, like McCain & Grahmnesty and the dems, she says she does not support amnesty, but then goes on to give her AMNESTY plan on BOR in the next breath.

4th: She was pimping LOST before anyone ever heard of her, in 2007.

5th: Recall she bragged about being one of the first guvs in the country to form a global warming task force.

” I believe that man’s activities can certainly be contributing to the issue of global warming and climate change” - Palin

“Dear Alaskan,
Alaska’s climate is warming. While there have been warming and cooling trends before, climatologists tell us that the current rate of warming is unprecedented within the time of human civilization. Many experts predict that Alaska, along
with our northern latitude neighbors, will warm at a faster pace than any other areas, and the warming will continue for decades” ~ Governor Palin

Now where’s that emotion you keep talking about?
