Catholic Bishops support net neutrality

The Catholic Bishops support net-neutrality rules.

In a letter to Congress last week outlining public policy priorities, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops endorsed the controversial broadband policy.

"True net neutrality is necessary for people to flourish in a democratic society," the letter said.

The bishops said they support federal regulations and legislation that "ensure equal access to the Internet for all, including religious and non-profit agencies, as well as those in more sparsely populated or economically distressed areas."

The letter also addressed marriage, abortion and the economy, among various other policy issues.

Someone needs to tell ‘em we’re NOT a democracy.

We’re a REPUBLIC.

Man, the Holy Mother Church is in trouble.

We have two foreign lead religions working to influence policy here in the US.

One is HQ’d in Mecca.

What was their stance on those issues?

A long time ago in a universe far, far away, clergy were actually amongst the most educated in society.

To quote Inspector Clouseau: “Not any more.”

Perhaps the bishops has best try something simple - weed out all the child molesters within their ranks...then they can start with a simple IT class.

(This is coming from a Catholic trained ex-Catholic.)

I don’t believe that.

But they are lead by a foreign nation.

Our Founders warned us about foreign based religions.

Hey, if it’s good enough for the Net, then it should be good enough for the Church, right? Let’s hear their take on Church neutrality. Catholic churches will have to open their doors and make available their facilities for gay pride dances, birth control counselling, divorce seminars, and abortion encouragement groups.
