What are the people at the game going to do in the 15 minutes or so between plays? Fan of football here, but HATE the Super Bowl. It is not a game, it is an exhibition in slow motion. I recognize that I am in the minority, but until they return the game to the same rules of football, like 1 minute time outs, 15 minute halftime. Play the game in the time allotted PLEASE!!!!
Agreed. I haven’t watched a Super Bowl since the second Cincinnati-San Francisco matchup.
So you are either a Browns or a Lions fan and never had a chance to see your team in one.
I prefer to think of it as the Super-Bore.

These seem like pretty petty complaints. Go ahead and hate the Superbowl, but for its halftime show and time-out length? Really? Instant replay, okay. TV time-outs, oh, dear lord, yes. Being more often than not boring as a visit to the dentist’s? Heck yeah. Even close games with exciting finishes tend to slug their way through most of the festivities.
The Patriots, for instance, have not provided one single good championship game. The helmet catch made us forget how utterly sleepy were the preceeding 3+ quaters.
