As for the attacks on the journos, do the reporters getting attacked personally know their attackers? If not, have the reporters ID'd the perps some other way? If so, then come out and state how you can attribute ID and motivation. If not, then used the word ALLEGED.
As for the guys with the guns being pro-gov't because of Egypt's strict gun contol laws, then I'd ask if there's no organized crime in Egypt? No terrorism, no smuggling? If the gov't's supposedly the ONLY source for those weapons, I'll need to see/hear how other sources were ruled out. And on the guys in black sedans who were handing out the weapons, how were those cars ID'd as being gov't issue? Did someone get the plate numbers and run them? Was someone able to ID any of the guys in the cars? If not, then used the word ALLEGED.
This is not rocket science. And slinging unsubstantiated accusations in a situation like this is not only dumb, but dangerous for everyone involved.
I agree. They were reporting their opinions as fact, as usual. I’d wager that the horse and camel jockeys were MB based on the headgear.
The coverage is utterly biased. I’m pretty sure some of these thugs ARE Mubarak thugs- but given the nature of propaganda- I’ll bet dollars to doughnuts there are also some MB and/or Hamas agitators in the mix.
