I am a Hican....I am a cross between the savory Texas Pecan and the tough Tennessee Hickory nut. I mature slowly and don't reproduce until I am much older. Hicans are uncommon but found in the woods when pecans and hickory trees are nearby. The nut is much larger than the traditional pecan but has the taste of the sweet hickory nut. Hicans are kin to just about everybody but close to none.
