Gerald Ford and George H.W. Bush had distinguished service careers in the US Navy...but just the same, I believe they should not be named for politicians. Enterprise, America, etc. There are many great names.
In this case, enterprise has such a distinguished tradition that it nbeeds to be done.

Too late. Mediocre presidents like Bush and Ford rate aircraft carriers. Hack congressmen like Murtha rate amphibious ships. Senators like Warner get submarines. It's enough to make you throw up some times.
