Super Cyclone Yasi Heads For Queensland With UPDATES
PA Pundits International ^ | 31 January 2011 | TonyfromOz
Now 600 kilometres out to sea, travelling towards coast at 30 klm per hour.
Well, living in SW Iowa, there is one advantage I have.
I can sit back with my 6" and watch Chi-town and points east get buried with complete equanimity ;)
Godspeed and good luck!
That is an awesome image.
Looks like the storms are about the same size.
Well, not quite really before anyone gets on my case about it.
Oh the horror! I’d better go to the store and buy all of the bread and milk! We’re all gonna die!!!!! </howiecarr>
Thank you. He’s in the midst of wheat country and it’s doing very badly due to drought. He’s not a farmer now but used to be.
Thanks for the report....this storm is huge....will you get some impact...?
Yes, it seemed when coyotes moved in stray pets got scarce.
Where the wind blows ....freely and chilly.

I ran to the store today and bought all their ammo in case things get bad (like the zombie apocolyspe happens during the snow storm).
We have plenty of food, but one can never be sure if they have enough ammo.
My member name explains my post, but I pray that everyone stays safe.
where it finally makes landfall is an open question, IMO. I live in Queensland and have often watched as the cyclones travelled down along the coast - thankfully I am a thousand miles away...
from an hour ago:
The Bureau of Meteorology's latest tracking map puts the landfall site anywhere from just north of Cairns to just north of Townsville.
But the central tracking line, which is the bureau's best guess, shows Yasi crossing at Innisfail, about 90km south of Cairns.
If they did that today, they’d be arrested for child abuse and lose custody!!!!
Looks like it will be colder in Bentonville than in YellowKnife for Wednesday and Thursday!
I’m about to go outside and on the road. No flakes last time I looked. Wish me luck. :’) We’re supposed to get up to an inch an hour overnight.
Hitting here in South Central Alabama. This is a bad one
What are you getting and how much?
We’re getting alittle rain now moving quick.Seems we are inbetween the bad stuff. Got family where it’s still red(weather bug),worried about them, wind died down ,under a tornado watch
