– [Update 8:38 p.m. Cairo, 1:38 p.m. ET] A team of heavily armed Marine Corps security personnel have been sent to the U.S. Embassy in Cairo to provide additional security for the facility, defense officials tell CNN. The small team of Marines, about a dozen according to one of the officials, are part of a Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team (FAST). The Marines are inside the embassy perimeter. Egyptian military and security forces continue to provide security outside the embassy, the officials said.

That should be enough to handle most of Cairo...
This coincides with the Jimmy Carter comparisons flying all over the Internet.
Zero must be in a real panic. An embassy hostage situation is pure political doom for him.

Tweets from young protesters have not a clue what they are wishing for....I feel for them, but when you and yours spend decades approving terrorism against US and Israel (and cheering 9/11 as Pew polls of Egypt showed), we tend not to trust you.

Let us Pray that they are not treated like they were in Somalia by Billy Boob...
Let’s hope that Obambi and Company have the guts and the sense to give the Marines permission to use lethal force to defend our embassy. A reprise of “America Held Hostage” would be a case of criminal negligence.
