One my favorite composers. What a legacy he leaves behind. Many great movie scores (Out of Africa is a personal favorite), but I also cherish the non-movie albums he made and listen to them so often when I’m working or reading.

I’ll bet he will be penning some new scores for angelic choirs!

Along with 007, the scundtrack to “Chaplin” is my favorite of his works.

No doubt. In our house, all we have to do is hear a portion of one of Barry’s scores from another room, and we instantly know the film and are compelled to give it a look. So familiar to us, he was almost like an old friend. It was Barry’s Bond scores and Vince Guaraldi’s piano that turned me on to jazz as a kid.
