A few tablespoons seems like a lot. My dishwasher ( a Maytag) has a fairly small area in which to put the soap. Do you know of any "recipes" for adding TSP to dishwashing soap powder?
I warned FReepers about what electing Arnold would bring with his environmental policy. For the most part, they did not listen.
Amen, Bro! Folks were warned,, but didn’t listen or didn’t care to think for themselves. The Q Factor and the ‘Promise of Victory’ blinded them.
Tonight’s speech is worthy of a Green Projectile Vomit Alert!!
Bustamante, Bustamante, Bustamante, Bustamante, Bustamante...
He'd have been gone in two years, and we'd have elected a conservative.
LED under cabinet lighting sells at Lowes home improvement for @ $157.00 vs $700.00 for common fluorescents from a lighting supplier.
“Can you use a bit of TSP in the clothes washer also?”
Yes.

I use liquid, so I’ve never tried that...and it seems like alot of work to actually mix the cleaners. Just trial by error - add a tablespoon at first, if that doesn’t do the job, add a little more next time.
Phosphates have been in dishwasher soap until recently. Around 10 years ago, various states started forbidding it, until last September, when all the major manufacturers said ‘screw it, we’re only having one formula’....and removed them. Looking at old packaging, it looks like they used around 7% by weight of phosphates, if that gives you a good starting point.
Anyway, if your dishes have a white film on them, and the glasses are especially spotted after going through the wash...adding Phosphate back in will have dramatic results.
I checked the price of TSP when I was in Ace Hardware this afternoon and it was $10.50 for a 62oz tub. I have a large box of it in the shop from the days when we did a lot of painting but I am afraid it will soon be taken off the market...
