In a word, race promises to play at least as large a role in the next election as it played in the last presidential race. Rest assured, it is on this that Barack Obama and his cronies are counting.
For decades now, whites and non-whites have been engaged in a kind of racial game with one another. Like any other game, when played long enough, it becomes a ritual of a sort. But when it becomes ritualistic, there is an imminent danger that it will be forgotten as play and be treated with a deadly seriousness. This is what has happened in this case.
The players in this game are racial groups and each is assigned a role. The white race is the Villain, the agent of Evil that is always on the hunt for other races to "exploit." Non-white races, in contrast, are embodiments of Virtue that long for nothing more than liberation from the tiresome history of the "white racist' oppression" that they've suffered. It isn't that there aren't good whites and bad non-whites, but in this game, no individual is just an individual: every individual is a "team player." What this means is that each participant derives his identity from the "team" or group to which he belongs, and what that in turn means is that the goodness and badness of whites and non-whites, respectively, are defined by the rules of the game.
Good whites, as you might imagine, are those who are continually "atoning" for the sins of their forefathers. They decry "racism" -- by which they mean white "racism" -- as the worst of evils, and can unfailingly be counted on to support every and any policy that's purportedly aimed at benefitting non-whites: "affirmative action," "bussing," "low-income housing," "bilingual education," "comprehensive immigration reform," etc.

They’ve played this card one too many times.
“Theyve played this card one too many times.”
Yeah, maybe voters should send a strong message in 2012 that they’re sick and tired of this game and would rather put grown-ups in charge of the WH.
Do ya think?
Maybe with the general public but what about the GOP in the Senate? I had a sneaky feeling that they were so weak during the lame duck precisely because of their fears of being called racists for squeezing Zer0 too hard.
And did you hear Jim Moran the other day? Yeah, he’s an idiot but millions buy into the same idiocy, especially in DC.
We must retire a lot of RINO Senators in the primarys.
They’ll keep playing it as long as it works.
One interesting stat- supposedly, 20% of Conservatives voted for Obama. While the figure may be fudged, there were many actual Conservatives who bought into the rhetoric that Barack Hussein Obama (mmm mmm mmm) was a moderate who would listen to and respect Conservative voices.
We saw what happened in the 2010 election- the House changed hands, the Senate is set up perfectly for a GOP takeover in 2012, over 600 State Legislator seats went GOP, and 18 States turned Republican. Not only were these Republican, but mostly Tea Party Conservatives.
Unless the GOP nominates Mitt Romney w/Tim Pawlenty as his running mate, I see a brand new white house in 2012 (sadly, that'll probably happen).

Obama’s race card scam hopes to keep the mind off the depression he caused, won’t fly.
There are several enclaves available to them in N. California, parts of LA County, Manhattan and elsewhere. Let them band together in those places and “atone” all they want by voting for Zer0, Barbara Lee, Rangel, and whoever else seems acceptable to them.
Unfortunately, the Obama race card may well allow him to sweep the table. Of course, 96% of blacks will vote for him, as will those and the far left and yellow dog Democrats.
The real key to Obama’s victory, however, as he well knows is the huge block of 40-and-under voters. They have been thoroughly indoctrinated by our schools, our churches, and our news and entertainment media to believe that blacks can do no wrong — and that anyone who criticizes Obama’s behavior is simply a racist.
If you doubt that, try talking to a person in that age group about the horrifying illegitimacy, crime, and welfare rates in the black community. Or, say something negative about Barack Obama’s policies. You’ll be lucky if all they do is just get up and leave the room.
Zero needs to be incessantly reminded that we don’t despise him because he is black but rather because he is an incompetent, lying, Marxist psychopath hellbent on countermanding our Founders’ vision.
They may throw a little PC tantrum if you talk about crime, urban decay, etc. but if they ever walk the streets they know the score.
It was “trendy” to vote for Zer0 in 2008. Next year, I think he will cause a whole lot of yawns among former his former voters. Look at the viewership of the SOTU speech: it was abysmal. He got more for the Giffords speech but that was because the media had the folks all revved up about “rightwing violence” and some tuned in just to get the prez’ take.
What worries me more than anything for 2012 is the public’s seeming preference for divided government and gridlock. A lot of voters may go for GOP House and Senate candidates and also Zer0 just to throw in a monkey wrench and lock up government.
He knows what he is and what we think of him.
His worldview is just extremely twisted, so he really couldn’t care less.
Remember, he was raised by a man(Gramps) who was booted out of the Army for slugging an officer during wartime (WWII) and later hooked up with the CPUSA and Frank Marshall Davis, a commie and a pervert. So what can anyone realistically expect?
I want to see what happens when they try to play the race card on Palin. We’ll see what kind of tone she sets.
I think the Dems have decided on the “Balloon head” slam against all GOP women...except for Meghan McCain, of course.
No need to say much about race when you can just play the “dumb broad” card. It seems to be working fairly well if the polls can be believed.
Yes, and my way to do it is to talk about his origins-—from a line of Marxists on both sides.
Truly to the collective born.
